I was checking to see if I could pass this to the ten-year-old son of a friend since he's obsessed with X-Men, and although I decided it wasn't for him - it turned out to be an absorbing read and just what I was in the mood for. The overlays of Rogue's inability to touch and the all-to-present realities of teenagers' grappling with hormones reminded me of the great job Joss Whedon did with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her teenage trials. The fact that Rogue's condition causes her to dress up like a Goth chick was one of many humorous moments in a seemingly dark tale. Total pager turner that could easily be the next movie in the X-Men franchise!

This is Rogue we're talking about here. She is one of the most interesting Marvel characters and this book simply did not do her justice. This storyline doesn't make any sense for her. If you are a Rogue fan -- do not read, it will only irritate you.
Excellent story recommended to roque fans. Hope a sequel is made. Also shows about her past and her fear to romance.
Liked the book...just had to keep remembering that this was a book and not the comics. Didn't follow the same story line as the comics but I respected the different view point.
I read this book in a weekend. I loved the story and was completely drawn into Rogue's story. I want a series so we can see what happens next.
This was a very easy read and a good story, though it doesn't stay very true to any other storyline I've ever seen for Rogue.
Fantastic book I wish they would have continued this series with others it is just a great run of two books for girls.
Though the story itself was quite interesting, and it was fun to take a more detailed look at one of Marvels most popular heroines, the story was a little more romance than adventure. As someone who approached the book looking for more action and a deeper plot line than someone looking for a spicy summer romance it was a bit of a shock. But if you want a romance with some decent action, staring your favorite x-girl this book is perfect.
