Way too short for me(because I want all this author's books to be long), but still a fun read that only took a little over an hour to read. I love bodyguard Barney and it was interesting to get his point of view for a change. The whole Bad Habit band and their wives/girlfriends are involved and that just made it more fun.

I was expecting Barney to meet someone. Instead we are treated to his going away party. It's the day before he leaves L.A. To move to New York. It did however, set up the next book with him as the main character. And it in a way introduces us to who I think will be his new love. Very neatly done by the author. A peek at a character from another Geissinger series was a big plus as well.

Look at this as a gift to Bad Habit fans. And actually some important events do happen. As always with a Geissinger book, it's well written and includes humor.

Highly recommended to adult readers that follow her Bad Habit and/or Wicked Games series. 4.5 stars rounded up.

I feel like this novella is a great segue into an excellent new series. Books all about Barney? I'm so in. Although you will hate that this book is so short, it answers a lot of questions about the boys (and girls) from Bad Habit.
Great character development and plotting. Hot, troubled rock stars meet their equals in feisty, strong women. Could not put this - or the other 3 books in the series - down! Haven't gotten to the spin-off series yet, but I plan to!
Quick short and kinda sad but leads to another great story line! I am rapidly become obsessed with J.T Geissinger's books. I will say I was disappointed in the length, BUT that was on me since I did NOT read Novella when I purchased it. When I realized I was like "Oh! OKaY" I forgive you for making me really not like you for a minute on your shortness of story-line.
I was expecting a full length story about Barney the bodyguard for the Bad Habit band. And while I enjoyed a brief interlude with these characters, this was not the book I was expecting. It is the novella that connects the Bad Habit series with the Dangerous Beauty series which is next up. But I did not realize that. Please be advised.

This is a nice little story about Barney's going away party. It was great catching up with the gang. This story takes place shortly after the last book, SIN WITH ME, but there was some new stuff going on with the characters. OMG AJ!!! We also got some interesting info on Grace, Marcus and Kenji. And we find out Barney's real name. I totally enjoyed reading it. As usual Nico threw a rockin' party and went overboard with the entertainment. But we readers wouldn't expect anything less from him would we?

I'm very excited for Barney's story. Geissinger wrote this to wet the appetite of her fans and it worked on me! I still want a story for Ethan and Chris though LOL. They had some page time in this novella and while technically they're happy in life I'm greedy and want more 😉
I read this book because I've read the whole series so far and loved it. During what should have been a quick read, I found myself starting and stopping wondering what was driving this book. I'd read it was to introduce a new character or two, but couldn't that really had been done in another book? I found absolutely no purpose to this read and the only reason I'm giving it two, rather than one star is because I like this author and the other books in the series.
