So far my grandson and I have only read the first story in this trilogy [which deals with magic, magical objects and what they do, and a missing sister] -- we both loved it! We had that one as a single book and then found out there were 2 more stories to go with it so I ordered the trilogy. We are waiting for his mother to finish the first story before we go on. (And in the meantime got hooked on the Andre Norton Magic Books series so it may be a while before I have more of a review on this one.)

I thought this book deserved a rating seeing as it is so good. I bought mine a little while back and sadly they don't seem to make it anymore. Anyhow, I will cherish my copy

This is a series from my childhood that gives me the feeling of magic and wonder in a foreign (to me, anyway) place.
